Regulating the Internet? EU
and US Perspectives, April 27-29
The UW conference, co-sponsored by the CIS, will bring together
scholars from a variety of disciplines and representatives
from government, industry and public interest groups to examine
EU and US approaches to regulating the Internet.
On April 5, 2000, CIS and the University of Washington had
the honor of receiving his Excellency the President of the
Dominican Republic, Dr. Leonel Antonio Fernández.President
Fernández spoke about his country's new initiatives
to expand economic development through proactive stimulation
of high technology industries.
