Evaluation Toolkit (May 2007)
The Evaluation Toolkit is a resource for researchers, program managers, and donors to utilize the growing body of knowledge around monitoring and evaluation of community technology programs. Funded by Microsoft Community Affairs as a resource for Unlimited Potential grantees to measure and enhance local impact, the CIS has developed this toolkit to advance data consistency and evaluation fundamentals around a number of core aspects of community technology center activities. By publishing the toolkit online, we hope that it will be of use to the community at large.
Presently, the toolkit contains 13 modules, including adapted pilot surveys from the University of Washington as well as those from other research partners (e.g. Australia Smith Family) and organizations (e.g. IDRC).
To get started:
- Please complete this brief questionnaire
- Download and review Evaluation guidelines
Recently a wave of evaluations have been completed. CIS is currently analyzing the feedback we have received to integrate and update the toolkit. We are extremely interested in feedback regarding the modules, especially if you have used them, borrowed from them, or are considering using them in your evaluations. Please take a moment to send us a brief email with your research project and contact name to Maria Garrido.
