Kitsap Broadband Policy Symposium

Conference held at the Admiral Theatre in Bremerton, WA on July 30, 2002 co-organized by the University of Washington Center for Internet Studies and the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council with support from the Kitsap Public Utility District, and the Kitsap Economic Development Council. Leaders from high-technology, government, and local business discussed the business, technical, and policy challenges of building first mile connections homes and businesses.

KPUD/NOANET Fiber Optic Lighting Ceremony

On July 30th, 2002, Kitsap County residents join with members of the Washington State US Congressional delegation at the Admiral Theater in Bremerton, Washington to take part in the first public demonstration-mile of the 82-mile NOANET/KPUD fiber-optic backbone in Kitsap County. A full compliment of demonstrations ranging from smart homes to cable TV over IP.
